Our latest child sexual abuse campaign #GetHelpOrGetCaught to tackle online child sexual abuse (CSA) launched on 14 April 2020.
The main aim of this campaign is to stop perpetrators from offending by encouraging them to seek help by contacting Stop It Now! Scotland.
Stop it Now! Scotland offers an anonymous support service for offenders and those concerned about their thoughts or actions.
For further guidance and information, visit their website.
The #GetHelpOrGetCaught campaign is targeted at those who feel they might be at risk of committing an offence and perpetrators who use social media, chatrooms and messaging apps to target children online to groom them for sexual purposes. Our message is clear:
- Targeting young people online for any sexually motivated purpose is wrong and you will get caught.
- You are putting yourself at risk of public exposure, losing your family, your home, employment and liberty (fear) - You are not anonymous. You are accountable. You will be caught.
- There is confidential and non-judgemental help available via Stop It Now.
- There is anonymous help available from Stop It Now! Scotland.
