Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (DSDAS)
The Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (DSDAS) is a scheme that lets members of the public request information about a partner’s abusive past. We can then share this information with someone who might be at risk of domestic abuse.
We launched DSDAS on 1 October 2015 and this year will be its tenth anniversary. Since its launch, we’ve received over 35,500 applications and made over 19,500 disclosures.
The anniversary gives us an opportunity to increase awareness of this important Police Scotland harm prevention tool.
This campaign will run from 1 October 2025 to 26 October 2025.
Communications will go out across a mix of external channels, including media and social media activity. There will also be internal communications to target officers and staff.
The campaign aims to encourage anyone with concerns about domestic abuse, either for themselves or someone they know, to submit a DSDAS application.
More information about the scheme is available on the Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (DSDAS) page on our website.
