Police officer recruitment drop in event
Do you have the passion, resilience and skills to be a police officer? If so, then come along to our police officer recruitment drop in event in East Kilbride on Tuesday, 16 September, 2025 from 5.30pm – 8.30pm.
This is a great opportunity to meet our recruitment specialists, ask questions about the application process, and get first-hand insight into what it takes to join Police Scotland.
The event is taking place at Police Scotland’s Jackton Recruitment and Training Centre, Eaglesham Road, East Kilbride, G75 8GR. Parking is available on-site.
What to expect?
At the event, attendees can expect to:
- Try the mock fitness bleep test and get a feel for the physical requirements of the role. Please be advised that attendees should wear appropriate clothing and footwear if taking part.
- Meet our vetting team and find out about our background checks and vetting process.
- Experience our virtual reality (VR) headset and step into the shoes of a police officer through a live-action, interactive scenario that showcases a typical day on the job.
- Chat with our probationers and hear from new recruits about their journey and experiences in the role so far.
No registration is needed – drop in at a time that suits you between 5.30pm – 8.30pm.
