Area Commander Chief Inspector Eileen Taylor is the Area Commander and is responsible for the daily management of local personnel, performance management, community engagement and partnership working within South Ayrshire in order to ensure that key performance indicators and outcomes within the Local Police Plan are delivered. Eileen is based at Ayr Police Station. South Ayrshire Area Command South Ayrshire is home to over 110,000 residents and spans an area of some 472 square miles, from Ballantrae in the south to the town and busy harbour of Troon in the North. Tourism and leisure are key economic factors with excellent golf courses including Royal Troon and Turnberry; Ayr Racecourse; and excellent transport links including Prestwick Airport.
