Man named following fatal road crash near Benview

Police Scotland can now confirm the identity of the man who died in a road crash on the A908 near Benview around 5.50am on Thursday, 23 January, 2020.

He was Alan Douglas from Tullibody.

The 38-year-old man was in a crash involving a car and a lorry but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant David Ross, of Stirling Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Douglas at this difficult time.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the crash and I would ask for the public’s assistance with our investigation.

“If anyone was in the area at the time of the crash, or has any dashcam footage that can assist us, please get in contact.

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped with our enquiries so far.”
