Body of man found in Stranraer

Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man was found in Stranraer Harbour around 11.50am on Wednesday, 12 February, 2020.

Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of local man Evan Stewart, missing since Sunday, 9 February have been made aware of the discovery.  

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.
