Update - attempts to gain access to properties in Inverurie

A 15-year-old male youth has been charged after attempts were made to gain access to properties in Inverurie.

The incidents happened between 10pm on Monday, 22 December, 2025 and 3am on Tuesday, 23 December, 2025, at properties in the Rutherford Folds, Middle Park and Middlemuir Road areas.

The 15-year-old has been reported to the relevant authority.

Sergeant Mark Adam said: “I would like to thank the community for their assistance with this one and again remind people to take measures to protect their home.

“This can be done by keeping their property locked, closing windows, and considering the installation of CCTV or doorbell cameras. Keep valuables out of sight and have security lights fitted if possible.”
