Reappeal to trace Ryan Finnegan missing from Dundee

One week on since Ryan Finnegan from Dundee was reported missing, officers are reappealing for information.

Ryan, 40, was last seen by family in the Balgarthno Road area during the first week of December 2025. He was reported missing on Friday, 2 January, 2026.

He is described as around 5ft 11inches in height, of slim build with short brown hair. His clothing when last seen is not known.

Chief Inspector Colin Echevarria said: “Ryan has not been in touch with a family member for several weeks and this is out of character for him.

“Despite extensive efforts by police, we’ve not been able to trace him. It’s vital we find him to ensure he is safe and well.

“With the recent cold weather, it is possible that Ryan may have sought shelter somewhere so I would urge anyone in the area to check any sheds or outbuildings.

“Have you seen a man matching Ryan’s description? If so, please get in touch.”
