Man arrested and charged following fuel thefts in Falkirk

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with fuel thefts in Falkirk.

Officers from the Community Investigation Hub investigated a number of reports of fuel taken from vehicles parked in overnight depots, estimated to be worth around £20,000, which occurred between October 2025 and January 2026.

He was released on an undertaking to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court at a later date.

Inspector David Ferguson said: “The Community Investigation Hub is a dedicated unit staffed by local officers who carry out investigations and monitor crime reports being received. This allows us to identify crime patterns and take action to detect crimes being committed.

“I would like to thank officers for their work on this investigation and the public for their assistance.”
