Detectives are appealing for information following housebreakings in Wick.

Around 3am on Wednesday, 21 January, 2026, a business on Union Street was broken into and cash stolen.

Another premises on the same street was targeted in the early hours of Thursday, 22 January. Money was taken.

On Friday, 23 January, there was a break-in on McArthur Street around 5.15am. Nothing was taken.

There were two further incidents reported on Saturday, 24 January. Cash was stolen from a warehouse on River Street and a property on Harbour Place was broken into, however nothing was taken.

The incidents are being treated as linked.

Detective Sergeant Christopher Robertson said: “I’m appealing to the public for help to identify who is responsible for these break-ins.

“I’d urge anyone with information to come forward. If you have doorbell, dash-cam or private CCTV footage, please review this to see if you’ve captured anything which may assist our investigation.

“Please remain vigilant and report anyone acting suspiciously to us. Officers carry out regular patrols of the area and anyone with concerns or looking for advice can speak to them.”
