Appeal to help trace man missing from Dundee

Police Scotland is appealing for the assistance of the public to help trace Ryan Finnegan who is missing from Dundee.

The 40-year-old was last seen by family in the Balgarthno Road area during the first week of December 2025. He was reported missing on Friday, 2 January, 2026.

Ryan is described as around 5ft11 in height, of slim build with short brown hair. His clothing when last seen is not known.

Inspector Mahboob Ahmad said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Ryan’s welfare. It is out of character for him not to be in touch with anyone for this length of time.

“We are carrying out a number of enquiries to trace Ryan and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen him or who has any information on his whereabouts to please contact us as soon as possible.”
