Appeal following wilful fire in Dundee

Police are appealing for information following a wilful fire in Dundee.

Around 8.05am on Friday, 2 January, 2026, officers were made aware of a fire at a property in the King Street area of the city.

The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no injuries were reported.

Detective Inspector Simon Murray said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the fire. I would ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and may have seen or heard anything suspicious to contact police.
