Appeal following theft by housebreaking in Peebles

Officers are appealing for information following a theft by housebreaking at a derelict building on Springwood Road in Peebles.

The break-in is believed to have happened between Friday, 19 December, 2025 and Monday, 5 January, 2026. Building materials estimated to be worth a five-figure sum were stolen.

Detective Constable Kate Loughrey said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area during this time, or who has any information that could assist with our enquiries.
