Appeal following serious crash on A923 near Piperdam
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A923 near Piperdam.
Around 6.30pm on Saturday, 3 January, 2026, we were called to a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a grey Toyota Corrolla TSport car.
Emergency services attended and the two passengers, a 19-year-old woman and 18-year-old man, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver, a 19-year-old man, was left with minor injuries.
The road was closed to allow for investigations and fully reopened at 4.10am on Sunday, 4 January.
Constable Stuart Hadden said: “Both passengers have sustained serious injuries, and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash.
“I am asking anyone who was travelling on that road at the time with dash-cam footage to get in touch with us as you may have captured the crash or the car immediately prior to the crash.
“In particular I would ask if anyone saw the Toyota travelling with a dark coloured Volkswagen Bora between Dundee city centre and the A923, please contact us.”
