Appeal following serious crash on A916 near Cupar
Road Policing officers are appealing for information after a serious crash near Cupar.
The incident happened around 5.20am on Sunday, 11 January, 2026, on the A916 between Cupar and Craigrothie and involved a white coloured Ford Fiesta.
Emergency services attended, and the driver, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with what are described as serious injuries.
A 17-year-old female was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed to allow for investigations to take place and re-opened around 17:00.
Sergeant Thomas Aitken, of Road Policing East, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or may have seen the vehicle prior to get in contact with officers.
“I’d also ask that anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area at the time to review this to see if it has captured anything significant that would assist our investigation.”
