Appeal following disorder outside football stadium in Arbroath

Officers are appealing for information following disorder in Arbroath.

The incident happened around 9.45pm on Friday, 23 January, outside Gayfield Football Stadium where a number of individuals were involved in disorderly behaviour.

There were no reports of injuries.

Inspector Jamie Webster said: “The acts of disorder seen in Arbroath on Friday night after the football game were appalling.

“We are liaising with both Arbroath FC and Greenock Morton FC in an effort to identify those responsible.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have captured mobile phone footage, photographs or dash-cam recordings from the area at the time.”
