Appeal following attempted theft of ATM in Glasgow
Detectives in Glasgow are appealing for information following the attempted theft of an ATM.
The incident happened around 1.10am on Wednesday, 7 January, 2026, at a supermarket on Edinburgh Road.
A white Nissan Navara was used in the attempt to steal the ATM and was left at the scene.
Four men were seen in the area, dressed in dark clothes, wearing face coverings. They made off from the area in a grey hatchback vehicle along Edinburgh Road.
Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson said: “We believe this was a targeted attempt to steal the ATM.
“Our investigation is progressing, but we are particularly keen to hear from motorists and local residents who may be able to help.
“If you were driving in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage, or if you live or work nearby and have private CCTV or doorbell cameras, please check the recordings. Any footage, no matter who insignificant it may seem, could prove crucial in identifying those responsible.”
