Human remains found following a fire in Gardenstown

On the afternoon of Tuesday, 23 September, 2025, human remains were recovered from a property in the Seatown area of Gardenstown following a fire on Thursday, 18 September, 2025.

Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of the woman who was within the property have been made aware.

One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Specialist teams will continue work at the scene and a joint investigation is being carried out with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
