Appeal for information following wilful vehicle fire in Motherwell

Officers are appealing for information following a wilful vehicle fire in Motherwell.

The incident happened around 1.35am on Tuesday, 16 September, 2025 on Ravenscliff Road.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The two male suspects were wearing blue joggers and black trainers. One wore a black hooded jumper and the other wore a white hooded jumper. Both made off along Ravencliff Road towards the junction with Roedeer Drive on foot.

Detective Constable Verity Gregg said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.”
