Appeal for information following serious assault in Glasgow

Officers are appealing for information following the serious assault of a man in Glasgow.

The incident happened around 10pm on Thursday, 25 September, 2025 in the Whitefield Road area of Govan, when a 28-year-old man was approached by two other men, one of whom struck him with a weapon.

The 28-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Sergeant Nicol McPherson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
