Man jailed for assault and robbery in Methil
A man has been sentenced to two years and four months in prison following a robbery in Methil.
Keiran Macintosh, 28, was sentenced at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Friday, 31 October, 2025. He had pled guilty to the charges of assault and robbery and breach of the peace at the same court on Tuesday, 7 October.
Around 9.50pm on Tuesday, 18 March, 2025, officers received a report of an attempted robbery at a premises on Sea Road, Methil. A short time later, police were called to a report of a woman having been assaulted and robbed in the Kirkland Drive area of the town.
Detective Constable Daryn Bryson said: "Macintosh's actions were violent and frightening for those involved. I hope this sentencing provides some reassurance to the community that such behaviour will not be tolerated.
