Man convicted of murdering Callum Pollock in Troon

A 35-year-old man has been convicted of murdering a man in Troon.
James Thomson was found guilty of the murder of Callum Pollock on Thursday, 30 October, 2025, following a trial at Glasgow High Court.
He will be sentenced at a later date.
Around 11.40pm on Saturday, 6 July, 2024, officers were called to a report of a man having been seriously injured within a property at Ramsay Court, Scott Crescent.
Callum, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene and Thomson was arrested and charged in connection with his death.
Detective Chief Inspector Keith Runcie said: “This was a shocking and violent attack which has resulted in the death of a young man. Thomson will now face the consequences of his actions.
“Our thoughts remain with Callum’s family and I hope this conviction brings them some level of comfort.
