Appeal for information following vehicle fire in Old Kilpatrick

Officers are appealing for information following a wilful vehicle fire in Old Kilpatrick, West Dunbartonshire.

The incident happened between 11.40pm and 11.50pm on Sunday, 19 October, 2025, on Iona Crescent, when a person wearing dark clothing set fire to a black MG car.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Detective Constable Andy Baldacci said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the fire to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV of the Iona Crescent and Iona Gardens areas to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3323 of Sunday, 19 October, 2025. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
