Appeal for information following a fire in Tain

Detectives in Tain are appealing for information following a fire.

Around 3am on Wednesday, 15 October, 2025, the front door of a property was set alight in Burgage Drive.

The fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Detective Inspector Calum Reid said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area around the time of the fire to come forward.

“No-one was injured.

“I’d ask residents and motorists to check any doorbell or dash-cam footage to see if you have capture something that can assist our enquiries.

“Even the smallest piece of information could prove vital to our investigation.

Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on quoting 0310 of 15 October, 2025.
