Appeal following assault and robbery in Alexandria
Detectives are appealing for information following a robbery and an assault in Alexandria.
The incident happened around 7.30pm on Monday, 27 October, 2025, when a man walking was approached by another man who was riding a bike on India Street.
The man was threatened, seriously assaulted and a quantity of cash was taken from him. The man on the bike then made off towards Rosshead, Alexandria.
The 46-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Detective Constable Martin Davies said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information which could assist with our investigation to come forward.
“This was a frightening incident for the man involved who was left injured as a result. Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the person responsible.
“I’d ask that anyone who saw a man on a bike with a balaclava around this time come forward and speak to officers.”
