Woman found guilty of killing another woman in Aberdeen
A 31-year-old woman has been found guilty of killing another woman in Aberdeen.
Sarah Irvine was found with serious injuries after emergency services were called to a property on Auchinleck Road on Wednesday, 17 April, 2024. The 34-old died as she was being conveyed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Dionne Wilson was arrested and charged in connection with Sarah’s death and, following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh, she was convicted of culpable homicide on Thursday, 27 November, 2025. She will be sentenced at a later date.
Detective Inspector Gavin Fleming, senior investigating officer, said: “This was a shocking and violent attack that resulted in the horrific death of a much-loved young woman.
“While this conviction cannot change what has happened, I hope it brings some kind of closure for Sarah’s family and friends, who remain absolutely devastated by what has happened.
“Such despicable violence is not tolerated in our communities, and our officers will continue to work tirelessly, alongside our partners, to bring perpetrators to justice.”
