Woman arrested and charged in connection with fatal crash in Coatbridge

A 19-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal crash in Coatbridge.

The crash, which involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and a pedestrian, happened around 5.20pm on Saturday, 9 November, 2024, on Brambling Road.

The pedestrian, a 57-year-old woman, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she later died.

The 19-year-old woman will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
