Man sentenced to 17 years in prison for catalogue of serious sexual offending
A man was yesterday, Thursday, 13 November, 2025, sentenced to 17 years in jail for multiple serious sexual offences against women.
Stewart Fleming, 31, was jailed after being found guilty following a trial which ended on 18 September 2025.

At the High Court in Glasgow yesterday (13 November) he was jailed for a minimum period of 17 years in prison with a further five years on licence in the community.
He has been placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
Fleming was found guilty of six charges of rape, one charge of sexual assault and three of assault to injury. He was also guilty of offences under the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act.
The five victims were all women known to Fleming.
Detective Inspector Lyndsay Laird said: “Fleming carried out some of the most horrific abuse against women and used both physical and emotional manipulation throughout his offending.
“The team of officers working on this case spent considerable time with the women to understand what had happened and were able to present clear evidence of a pattern of controlling behaviour that continued throughout each relationship.
“Abusive behaviour is not acceptable and does not make for a healthy relationship. Officers are always willing to listen and I’d urge anyone with concerns to report these – either to police or a partner organisation.”
