Man jailed for six years in relation to drugs and firearms offences

A 42-year-old man has been jailed for six years in relation to drugs and firearms offences and has been made subject of a Serious Crime Prevention Order.
Kristopher Kinnaird was sentenced on Tuesday, 11 November, 2025 at the High Court in Glasgow of being involved in serious and organised crime between November 2019 and June 2020.
Kinnaird was arrested on Monday, 23 June, 2025, following an intelligence-led operation into the supply and sale of large amounts of cocaine and cannabis and manufactured firearms in the west of Scotland.
Detective Superintendent Steven Elliot said: “Kinnaird knew the consequences of his actions yet continued to be involved in the supply of controlled drugs and offered to supply firearms.
"Police Scotland is acutely aware that criminals will exploit any situation for their own gain. We work closely with a wide range of partners to disrupt and tackle serious and organised criminality and make it as difficult as possible for criminals to operate.
“This remains a priority for our officers and underlines our collective commitment to the country's serious organised crime strategy and Taskforce.
