Man jailed for 18 months for various offences in Hamilton
A man has been jailed for 18 months for various offences in Hamilton.
Declan Jamieson, 35, pled guilty to driving while disqualified and being in possession of a knife at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 25 November, 2025.
He has also been banned from driving for seven years.
On 17 April 2024, officers attended a report of a disturbance at a property on Deveron Crescent in the town.
When officers arrived, Jamieson fled the scene in a stolen car. He then used the car to repeatedly ram the police vehicle, causing injury to the two officers within.
Detective Sergeant Graham McAdam said: “Jamieson’s actions were totally reckless and inconsiderate of the consequences, causing injury to two officers who were simply doing their duty.
“We take violent incidents such as this very seriously and will continue to bring offenders to justice.”
