Extensive searches continue to trace Eugen Comanescu, 41, missing from Surrey

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace a 41-year-old man reported missing in England who has travelled to Scotland.

Eugen Comanescu was last seen around 7.30am on Monday, 3 November, in Surrey.

His car – a silver Vauxhall Corsa – was found in a remote area between Pitagowan and Dalwhinnie in the Highlands around 10pm on Friday, 7 November, 2025.

He is described as around 5ft 7ins, of medium build with short dark, blond hair. It is believed he may be wearing a dark grey jacket, dark coloured trousers and dark shoes.

Inspector Susan Cook said: “It is unusual for Eugen not to be in contact with his family and as time passes concerns are growing for his welfare.

“I am appealing for anyone who has seen Eugen or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.

“Following the discovery of his car extensive searches are being carried out.

“We would urge anyone in the area, particularly hillwalkers, to look out for anyone matching Eugen’s description and get in touch if you can help.”
