Appeal for information following fatal crash on A7 near Langholm
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the A7 near Langholm.
It happened around 11.35am on Tuesday, 4 November, 2025, near Briery Bank and involved two vehicles.
The 36-year-old male driver of a green Toyota Hilux was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 55-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Medical staff describe his condition as stable.
The driver of the white Scania HGV was not injured.
The road was closed to allow for crash investigation and vehicle recovery and fully reopened around 11.55pm.
Sergeant Colin Ramage said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this crash, as well as the man who suffered serious injuries.
“We’re carrying out extensive enquiries to establish exactly what happened and I’d appeal to anyone with information or dash-cam footage to come forward.”
