Appeal for information following assault in Falkirk
Detectives in Forth Valley are appealing for information following an assault in Falkirk.
The incident happened between 6.50pm and 7pm on Wednesday, 26 November, 2025, on Upper Newmarket Street, near its junction with Vicar Street.
A 44-year-old man was followed by two men who proceeded to make demands for his phone and wallet before assaulting him on the street.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The first suspect is described as aged between 15 and 21 and was wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie with the hood up, grey jogging bottoms and black trainers. He also appeared to be wearing a black face mask and gloves.
The second suspect is described as being around the same age and wearing a grey tracksuit top with a large white flash at the top, grey tracksuit bottoms, dark trainers and gloves.
Detective Constable Andy McLean said: “This was an unprovoked attack which left the victim injured and badly shaken.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident, or who has any CCTV footage which could assist, to please get in touch.
“There was also a lot of passing vehicles at the time of the incident so anyone with any dash-cam footage which may be relevant, is asked to contact police.”
