Appeal for information after car failed to stop
Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after an Audi failed to stop for them in North Lanarkshire on Wednesday, 29 October, 2025.
Around 6.50pm, officers signalled a white Audi S3 to stop on the A8 between Bargeddie and Eurocentral.
Constable Andrew Stenhouse said: “As officers signalled the car to stop, it made off at high speed and we are carrying out enquiries to trace the vehicle and its driver.
“From our enquiries we believe the Audi, which was displaying a cloned registration plate, was in the Bargeddie area on Wednesday evening. After it was signalled to stop, it joined the M8 and travelled west on the eastbound carriageway near to junction 7 at Eurocentral.
“We urge anyone who witnessed this vehicle driving dangerously, or if you saw anything suspicious in this area on Wednesday evening which could be related to this incident to please get in touch. Anyone with information or dash-cam footage which may assist our investigation is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting reference number 2466 of 29 October.”
