Appeal following theft of van in Shotts
We are appealing for information following the theft of a van in Shotts.
The white Vauxhall Vivaro was taken from Hillhouseridge Road around 1.15pm on Thursday, 20 November, 2025, while the driver was carrying out deliveries.
The vehicle was later recovered nearby however the contents had been taken.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the person responsible. A man was seen in the area around the time of the theft. He’s described as white and was wearing black clothing, including a hooded top.
Detective Constable Alison Geal said: “We’re conducting extensive enquiries into this incident and officers are working their way through CCTV to identify the suspect.
“I’d ask anyone with information, or anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously in the area around the time, to get in touch with us.
“If you have private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage, please also review this and bring anything which may assist the investigation to our attention.”
