Appeal following robbery at premises in Dumbarton
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a premises in Dumbarton.
Around 4.30am on Tuesday, 11 November, 2025, we were made aware a man had entered the petrol station on Lomondgate Drive, threatened a member of staff with a knife and made off with a three-figure sum of cash.
There were no injuries and enquiries are ongoing to identify the person responsible.
He is described as wearing dark coloured clothing and had his face covered. He left in the direction of Bellsmyre.
Detective Sergeant Neil Allison said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the staff member and we’re carrying out extensive enquiries to trace the suspect.
“Officers remain at the scene and there will be an increased police presence in the area while our investigation continues.
“I’d appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened, or saw anything suspicious, to contact us. Similarly, if you have dash-cam footage of the Lomondgate Drive and surrounding areas, please review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to a customer who entered the premises as the man was leaving. Please come forward as you may have vital information.”
