Appeal following fatal crash on M74, Hamilton

Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Lanarkshire.

The incident happened at Junction 5 of the M74 around 6.55am on Monday, 10 November, 2025, and involved a silver BMV 320D.

Emergency services attended and a 62-year-old man died at the scene.

The slip roads were closed to allow for investigations to be carried out and re-opened around 1.30pm.

Sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this extremely difficult time.

“We would ask anyone who has yet to speak to officers get in touch and review any dash-cam footage for anything that may assist with our enquiries.”
