Appeal following fatal crash in Peebles
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Peebles.
It happened around 6.25pm on Thursday, 6 November, 2025, on Whitehaugh Park and involved a single vehicle.
Emergency services attended and the occupants of the Honda HRV, an 80-year-old woman and 87-year-old man, were taken to hospital. The man later died and the woman remains in a serious condition.
The road was closed for several hours to allow for collision investigation to take place.
Sergeant Philip Winning said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and the woman injured in this collision.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened and I’m appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or has any information, to please contact police.
“I’d also ask drivers with dash-cam footage of the area around the time to review this for anything which may assist our enquiries.”
