Appeal following fatal crash in Kilmarnock
Officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Kilmarnock.
Around 2.40pm on Wednesday, 19 November, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving a green BMW 525 tds touring and a pedestrian on Fowlds Street, Kilmarnock.
Emergency services attended and the 93-year-old male pedestrian was taken to hospital where he died on Thursday, 20 November, 2025.
The road was closed to allow for investigations to take place and re-opened around 9.30pm.
Sergeant Brian Simpson, Ayrshire Roads Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died as a result of this crash.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“I would also appeal for anyone who was in the area and has dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to get in touch.”
