Men arrested - Hillington & Paisley

Two men, aged 30 and 23, have been arrested and charged with the alleged theft of cables and batteries worth a six-figure sum from business premises in Renfrewshire.

Between Thursday, 8 May and Saturday, 17 May 2025, electric cables and used car batteries were allegedly stolen from three different commercial and research premises in Hillington and Paisley.

Following a detailed investigation, the two men were arrested on Monday, 26 May. They are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 27 May 2025. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
