Man charged following hunting offences in Pennymuir and Hawick
A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with two wildlife offences under the Hunting with Dogs Act, following an investigation in the Scottish Borders.
The incidents took place in the Pennymuir area on Saturday, 21 December, 2024, and the Hawick area on Tuesday, 14 January, 2025.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Constable Ali Whitby said: “We will continue to tackle wildlife crime and offences under the Hunting with Dogs legislation by working in partnership with a number of organisations.
"We would urge anyone with concerns about criminality involving wildlife to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
