Man arrested and charged following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation in Oban
A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation at a property in Oban.
Officers attended at the property on Glenmore Road following a report of suspicious behaviour received around 4.25pm on Thursday, 1 May.
Around 155 cannabis plants were found within with an estimated street value of around £80,000.
The man is due to appear at Oban Sheriff Court on Monday, 5 May, 2025.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Charnock said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and this recovery highlights our commitment to dealing with those involved in the manufacture and distribution of illegal substances.
“The public has a vital part to play and I would encourage them to continue to provide us with information about suspicious activity and report any concerns.
