Luke Whittaker jailed for possessing, taking and distributing indecent images of children
A 33-year-old man has been jailed for possessing, taking and distributing indecent images of children.
Luke Whittaker was sentenced to three years at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 20 May, 2025, having been previously convicted at the same court on Tuesday, 22 April, 2025. He was arrested following search of an address in Falkirk in July 2024, where digital devices and equipment were seized.
Detective Inspector Adrian Ure of the National Child Abuse Investigation Unit said: "Whittaker showed utter contempt for the child victims depicted in the images he possessed and shared.
"He believed he could evade justice, but this case demonstrates our commitment to identifying offenders and bringing them to justice.
"This outcome is the result of close partnership working, which remains crucial in tackling child abuse and ensuring those responsible are held to account.
"Protecting children from harm remains a priority for Police Scotland, and we encourage anyone with concerns to contact us. Every report is taken seriously and we will act to safeguard those at risk."
Anyone with information or concerns about a child at risk of abuse is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
