Appeal for information following wilful vehicle fire in Coatbridge

Officers in Coatbridge are appealing for information after a vehicle was set on fire. 

Around 2.35am on Sunday, 11 May, we received a report of a silver Ford car on fire on Woodside Street. 

Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. There were no injuries. 

Inspector Gavin Tuohy, Airdrie Police Office, said: "We are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time of the fire. 

"We are also keen to talk to a man seen on an e-bike, wearing all dark clothing, who was in the area at the time.

"Anyone with doorbell cameras should check their footage to see if they captured anything.
