Appeal following serious crash near Beauly
Road policing officers appealing for witnesses following a serious crash near Beauly.
The crash happened around 11.05am on Saturday, 17 May 2025 on the A862 Inverness to Ardullie road at Ballindoun at its junction with the A833 towards Kiltarlity and involved a black Mazda CX5 car and two Yamaha MT07 motorcycles.
A 67-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to Raigmore Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as critical.
The driver of the car and the other motorcyclist were uninjured.
The 47-year-old male driver of the car was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries are ongoing.
The road was closed while investigations were ongoing and re-opened about 7pm.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay of Road Policing North said: “Our inquiries are continuing to understand the full circumstances of what happened. I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage to contact us as soon as possible.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1290 of Saturday, 17 May, 2025.”
