Appeal following fatal motorcycle crash in Auchinleck

Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal road crash on Main Street, Auchinleck, which took place around 12.25am on Saturday, 24 May, 2025.

The incident involved one vehicle, a blue and white Sherco 290 motorcycle. The rider, a 34-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for around 6 hours to allow for investigations to take place.

Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information, or who witnessed the incident, to come forward.

Sergeant Brian Simpson said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the deceased at this time.

“We are asking anyone who saw the motorbike prior to the crash, or has any dashcam footage, to please contact police. We are also keen to speak with anyone who attended the scene to assist but did not remain to provide their details to officers.

“If you can assist our enquiries in any way, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0082 of 24 May, 2025.”
