Drugs valued at £144,000 recovered in Aberdeenshire
A 67-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the recovery of drugs with an estimated value of £144,000 in Aberdeenshire.
Around 10am on Saturday, 3 May, 2025, officers acting on intelligence stopped a car on the A90 near Fordoun, Aberdeenshire. A search of the vehicle resulted in 24kg of cannabis being discovered.
The man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, 5 May.
Detective Sergeant Greg Dorrat said: “This was a significant drugs recovery that has taken £144,000 worth of drugs out of our communities.
“Drugs cause misery in our communities, and we are determined to disrupt the supply of illegal substances and trace those involved.
“This recovery underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
