Family pays tribute to 37-year-old man who died in a crash on the A70, South Lanarkshire
A 37-year-old man who died in a crash involving a motorcycle and an HGV can now be named as Graeme John Baillie.
Around 2.20pm on Thursday, 8 May, 2025, police received a report of a crash on the A70 near Glespin, South Lanarkshire involving a blue Suzuki motorbike and a red Volvo lorry.
Emergency services attended and Mr Baillie was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have released the following tribute via Police Scotland:
“Graeme was an adored husband and father, and he leaves behind a broken-hearted family and many friends whose lives he touched on a daily basis.
"Many thanks to the road traffic police officers for their support.”
Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
