Man dies following collision in Glasgow

Police Scotland can confirm that a man has died following a collision in Glasgow earlier this month.

At around 5pm on Thursday, 4 December, a 66-year-old male pedestrian, who subsequently turned 67, sustained serious injuries after he was struck by a black Audi 1 on Carmunnock Road.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University for treatment, where he passed away on Saturday, 27 December.

The man can now be named as Patrick Stoddard from Glasgow.

Inquiries into the full circumstances of the collision are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Our sympathies are with the family and friends of Patrick Stoddard at this time, and we continue to investigate this collision.

“Members of the public who witnesses what happened, or anyone with dash-cam or doorbell cam footage of the incident is asked to contact police immediately.”
