Appeal after crash involving campervan and motorbike on A82 near Inverness
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious collision involving a campervan and a motorbike on the A82.
Emergency services were called to the crash near Lochend around 4.30pm on Thursday, 19 June, 2025.
The 57-year-old male rider of the BMW R1300 motorbike was taken by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he remains in a serious condition.
The occupants of the Peugeot Carado were not injured.
The 46-year-old male driver of the campervan was arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries.
Following crash investigations, the road reopened around 11.30pm.
Sergeant Kate Finlayson said: “I’m appealing to anyone who was travelling on the A82 around 4.30pm yesterday and saw what happened to contact us. Likewise, if you saw either vehicle prior to the collision and have information which may assist our investigation, please get in touch.
“I’d also ask drivers with dash-cam footage to review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
